FLY-OUT TRIPS
Sea Runner Guide Service offer fly-out fishing trips which are great for those who would like to access the more remote regions of Southeast Alaska. We contract through Ward Air as our air taxi service. Ward Air offers unmatched excellence in floatplane air charter service for Juneau's wilderness areas. With a superior safety record, Ward Air is one of the oldest floatplane services in Alaska. Aircraft such as the DeHavilland Otter, DeHavilland Beaver, or Cessna 185 provide the flexibility for Ward Air to travel almost anywhere within Southeast.
Although these trips are sold for more than our boat trips, fly out trips provide access to fishing locations that are too far for boat travel. Depending on the time of the season we fly to different areas throughout the region in order to capitalize on various fisheries in their prime. Utilizing an aircraft also helps to maximize fishing time in our more remote locations. In short, less time traveling, more time fishing. If spring steelhead fishing or late season coho fishing are on the agenda, fly out trips are ideal .
BOAT-BASED TRIPS
On our sea-bound trips, will be transported aboard a 2004 Wooldridge Sport 2000, a 20 foot aluminum skiff with canopy, powered by a 2004 115hp 4-stroke. When traveling by boat, we have the flexibility to visit multiple streams, if time allows, or to switch stream locations if the fishing isn't ideal. By water, we also have the opportunity to observe the incredible marine wildlife abundant to Southeast Alaska's waters including Steller Sea lions, Harbor Seals, Dahl Porpoise and Humpback Whales. We are able to accommodate a maximum of 6 guests by water. Most fishing locations are within a 15 to 30 minute ride of the harbor.
